3.47. Lamar Down
It opens after you finish The Wrap Up and Reuniting the Family. It starts at Franklin's house in Vinewood Hills, and the three protagonists rescue Lamar together after the Ballas grab him at the sawmill in Paleto Forest.
- The road to the sawmill
- As Franklin, you drive a long way to the sawmill. On the way Franklin asks Lester to call Michael and Trevor in.
- Near the Lost Trailer Park, get onto the railway and follow the tracks, and you reach the sawmill sooner. You can use the same road on the way back.
- You fail if you arrive at the sawmill with a wanted level.
- Going in
- Once the three are together, Michael takes the sniping from a distance, and Franklin and Trevor each go to an entry point. Attack the sawmill at once instead of following the yellow marker, and you skip the scouting cutscene.
- Take out Ballas gangsters as you look for Lamar, then take Lamar out to the sawmill exit.
- Taking Lamar home
- Once you are out, Franklin drives Lamar home. It is complete when you arrive, and if you have also finished Legal Trouble, Meltdown opens.
- Gold medal
- 18 headshots, and accuracy of at least 70%
- Clear as many as you can as Michael, from a hidden sniper spot and with the special ability. When you fight on the ground, a shotgun is good for keeping accuracy up.
- Kill an enemy as all three protagonists
- Finish within 13 minutes 30 seconds
- Skip the cutscenes and use the railway shortcut, and you cut off more than a minute. You can also go in Franklin's Bagger, but the way back is slower because Lamar rides with you.
- Reasons for failure
- A protagonist dies or is busted, Lamar dies, or you leave Lamar behind
- You arrive at the sawmill with a wanted level, or Michael's car or Trevor's truck is destroyed
