3.17. Fame or Shame
It opens after you finish Friends Reunited. Trevor shows up unannounced at Michael's house, and the two of them crash Tracey's audition and chase Lazlow as he runs. Finishing it lets you control Michael again.
- To the audition
- After Jimmy says Tracey went to the Fame or Shame audition, Michael and Trevor head to the Maze Bank Arena in La Puerta.
- Inside the arena, Lazlow Jones puts Tracey in front of the judges. When Lazlow joins Tracey's dance, the two of them storm the stage, and Lazlow runs out of the arena.
- Lazlow chase
- The car you arrived in has already been towed. Steal the Phantom truck nearby and chase Lazlow, who is driving a red Dilettante.
- The chase across town stops in the Los Santos storm drain when the Dilettante runs out of fuel.
- Trevor makes Lazlow take his pants off and dance, then warns him not to touch Tracey again. When Lazlow runs, the two split up, and Michael agrees to meet Dave Norton at the Galileo Observatory.
- Gold medal
- Reach top speed in the Phantom
- Build speed on the straight stretch of Hawick and Davis Avenue. Detaching the trailer improves acceleration, but you miss the goal for keeping the trailer.
- Stay right on Lazlow for the whole chase
- Lazlow only has to stay inside the camera view the whole time. If you drive as Trevor, third person is easier than first person. Watch the traffic-light poles and the railway, but ram light obstacles that cannot stop the truck.
- Knock out the event staffer
- Punch down the man shouting with a clipboard beside the parking space.
- Do not detach the trailer
- Do not press the detach prompt even when it appears, and do not hit oncoming cars or jackknife the truck.
- Reasons for failure
- You fail in these cases.
- Michael or Trevor dies or is busted
- Tracey or Lazlow dies, or Lazlow escapes
- Lazlow's car is destroyed, or the truck is destroyed or stuck
- You disrupt the audition
