3.14. Nervous Ron

It opens after you finish Mr Philips. Trevor, whose trailer the Lost MC robbed, hits Sandy Shores Airfield with Ron and steals an arms shipment plane. You receive $62,680 as the reward.

  • Stop at Ammu-Nation
  • From in front of the trailer, take a quad bike to the Ammu-Nation on Algonquin Boulevard. Ron takes another quad and leaves first for the lookout.
  • Trevor bullies the clerk Melvin into handing over a sniper rifle, an advanced scope, and a suppressor for free. If you point a weapon at Melvin, you are banned and you fail. Leaving the store without taking the sniper rifle fails the same way.
  • Water tower sniping
  • Meet Ron at the water tower north of the airfield and climb to the top. When night falls, Ron sneaks into the airfield, and Trevor snipes the bikers on watch.
  • While Ron plants a bomb on the fuel tank, an enemy helicopter takes off. Shoot the pilot and the helicopter crashes, and the noise brings the Lost down on you.
  • Gunfight on the wing
  • While Ron taxis a Cuban 800 out of the hangar, Trevor lies on the wing, detonates the bomb, and shoots the bikers. Your weapon switches to an assault rifle on its own.
  • Trevor, running down the runway, jumps off the wing, gets in another Cuban 800, and takes off.
  • Cargo drop and race
  • Follow Ron out over the sea and drop the cargo near the waiting boat. Do as Ron says and fly low so the military base does not spot you.
  • After the drop, race Ron to McKenzie Field. You finish when you arrive.
  • Gold medal
  • 5 headshots
  • It is easy to get them while sniping from the water tower, where you shoot from one spot.
  • Finish within 12 minutes 30 seconds
  • Beat Ron in the race
  • When the race starts, Ron slows down on his own. Fly low and cut across the long bends, and you can get ahead.
  • Fly under 6 bridges on the flight path
  • The three bridges at Cassidy Creek and the bridges toward the mouth of the Zancudo River are the easy ones. Skip the small bridge on the Zancudo River, because the gap is narrow and the plane breaks easily.
  • Kill every biker while lying on the wing
  • As soon as you leave the hangar, shoot the fuel tanker on the right, and deal with the enemies coming from the other side on bikes and in a van. You also cannot miss the one biker who sticks with you as you approach the second Cuban 800. He pulls ahead and runs at the plane.
  • Reasons for failure
  • Trevor dies or is busted, or Ron dies or you leave him behind
  • Trevor's or Ron's quad is destroyed or stuck
  • The Lost spots you before Ron plants the bomb, or you leave the lookout
  • A Cuban 800 is destroyed or abandoned, or the landing gear is damaged
  • Oscar gets scared, or you do not secure the cargo in time
