The Epsilon Program is a Michael-only Strangers and Freaks line, eight missions in all.
Only Michael can play it. Log in to the Epsilon site as anyone else and you get a message that access is blocked.
There are a lot of missions, and they cost time and money. The last mission’s ending changes the payout a lot.
Epsilon vehicles have paints, plates, and body details Los Santos Customs cannot make. Collect them all as Michael and you can fill both spaces in Michael’s home garage, four spaces in a garage he bought, plus a helicopter and a plane, with Epsilon vehicles.
1. Seeking the Truth · Video 00:15
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: finish the story mission Complications, then complete the personality test on the Epsilon website.
- When to start: the Epsilon line costs at least $90,500, so it goes smoother after Reuniting the Family, once about $1,000,000 comes in (Michael’s cut of the Jewel Store Job), and Lester has called Michael or Franklin.
- How it plays
- How to start: take the personality test on the Epsilon site (www.epsilonprogram.com), or start it from the text that arrives after you hear out an Epsilon believer in a random event.
- Personality test: every choice gives the same result.
- Where: finishing the test places a Strangers and Freaks icon near Hookies.
- What you do: recite the prayer from the Epsilon tract in front of the red Bravado Bison there. A cutscene plays, and the mission ends when Michael wakes up near the antenna array in the Grand Senora Desert.
- Watch out
- Cannot be replayed.
2. Accepting the Truth · Video 02:50
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: some time after Seeking the Truth, Marnie emails asking for a $500 donation.
- How it plays
- Donate: press the donate button in the email. The mission icon appears 24 hours later.
- Donate early: donate $500 on www.epsilonprogram.com before the email arrives and the email is skipped. The icon appears 24 hours later anyway.
- What you do: go inside the building, talk to Marnie, then leave. The mission ends.
- Watch out
- Cannot be replayed.
- Unlocks after you finish
- Marnie is added to Michael’s contacts.
3. Assuming the Truth · Video 05:10
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: some time after Accepting the Truth, an email asks for a $5,000 donation.
- How it plays
- Donate: press the donate button in the email. The mission icon appears 24 hours later.
- Start: finish the talk at the marker and leave the area. An email arrives with the name and photo of each car you have to bring in.
- Delivery: get in the car and a drop-off appears. Park it in the garage.
- Cars (5): Pegassi Vacca, video 08:12; Benefactor Surano, video 09:26; Declasse Tornado, video 11:46; Enus Super Diamond, video 13:48; Dinka Double-T, video 15:39.
- All five have a fixed parking spot, but a civilian car or one bought online also counts.
- The parked ones respawn with no limit until all five models are in a garage, so each character can keep at least one for free.
- Fixed parking: the Benefactor Surano is in a space at Lake Vinewood Estates, the Declasse Tornado is at the garage across from the tennis court on Hawick – Elgin Avenue, and the Enus Super Diamond is in an alley near Leopolds in Rockford Hills. They can be collected before the mission.
- The Pegassi Vacca is parked at 3659 Wild Oats Drive, down the hill from Franklin's house.
- The Dinka Double-T is parked at the Richman Hotel and in front of the Lifeinvader building, so the spot marked during the mission is the easy place to look.
- A beat-up Declasse Tornado stolen in Blaine County can still be delivered.
- Finish: deliver every car and Marnie emails you. The next mission’s location is marked.
- Watch out
- When to donate: unlike Accepting the Truth, donating $5,000 before the email arrives does not count. Wait for the email.
- Damage: a badly damaged car is rejected even in the garage. Repair it at Los Santos Customs or find another.
- Cannot be replayed.
- Unlocks after you finish
- After Marnie’s email, the next mission, Chasing the Truth, is marked.
4. Chasing the Truth · Video 17:27
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: after Assuming the Truth, Marnie emails you, and after some time a marker appears in Grapeseed.
- How it plays
- You help search for alien relics with a sensor.
- Find the TV, then the crate, then the shoe, and the mission ends.
- Unlocks after you finish
- Jimmy Boston is added to Michael’s contacts.
- Gold medal
- Use the Force: find the alien relics without using the detector.
- Starting in first person counts as using the detector, so you cannot get gold.
- If a relic is in the direction Michael is facing, the detector still changes color even when you are not using it.
- In third person, tilt the camera to look down and you can keep the detector in view while you move.

5. Bearing the Truth · Video 21:33
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: some time after Chasing the Truth, a donation email arrives. Donate $10,000 ($5,000 twice), wait, and the mission icon appears.
- How it plays
- Buy the robe: talk at the marker, then Marnie emails you. Buy the robe on the Epsilon site and wear it for 10 days (240 hours).
- Robe price: $25,000
- Delivery: the robe is delivered some time after you buy it.
- Progress: each day you wear it, a count appears above the minimap.
- Passing time: wear the robe and play other missions, save (6 hours per save as Michael, 40 saves), or die and go to the hospital (10 hours, 24 visits). Sleeping or dying is the fastest safe way.
- Finish: on day 10, Cris texts you and the mission ends.
- Watch out
- Take the robe off and the timer resets.
- Yoga, tennis, and similar activities force a clothing change. Skip them.
- Play a while as Trevor or Franklin, then switch back, and Michael is often in different clothes. Stay as Michael. A short switch, such as checking stocks, is fine.
- A hospital visit can cost up to $5,000. Put all your cash in stocks and that bill goes away.
- Before you have this mission, the site lists the robe as out of stock.
- If you are exiled to the desert, you cannot continue.
- Cannot be replayed.
- Unlocks after you finish
- Cris is added to Michael’s contacts.
6. Delivering the Truth · Video 25:04
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: after 10 days in the Epsilon robe, Jimmy Boston texts you to meet an Epsilon trainee on the coast near the military base.
- How it plays
- Take the Velum from the trainee, Tom, and get in.
- Jimmy Boston calls during the flight. Go to Sandy Shores Airfield and land.
- Talk to Jimmy Boston. He leaves in the Velum and the mission ends.
- Watch out
- Shoot the believer (Tom) before the mission starts and he runs. The plane locks and you cannot board it at all.
- Unlocks after you finish
- The Epsilon-paint F620 parked beside you can be taken after the mission.
- Epsilon Velum: start the mission, get in the Velum, store it in a hangar, then walk away so the mission fails. Choose restart or quit and the plane stays in the hangar.
- Gold medal
- Touchdown: land the Velum without damaging it.
- Zondar the Bridge: fly under a bridge along Lago Zancudo.
- The bridge you see right after takeoff is enough.
- Related achievement
- Solid Gold, Baby!: earn 70 gold medals on story missions and Strangers and Freaks.
- Fail if
- You get too far from the Velum.
7. Exercising the Truth · Video 29:53
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: some time after Delivering the Truth, a marker appears in the Grand Senora Desert.
- Required clothes: wear the Epsilon robe. Without it, they turn you away.
- How it plays
- On arrival you get a medal, then walk 8 km (5 miles) in the robe.
- What counts: only distance moved inside the pilgrimage zone. Running counts.
- The zone is not drawn on the map, but the town with Trevor’s hideout is inside it. Stay in that town and you will not leave.
- Running it without a break still takes about 20 minutes.
- Easiest route: laps of the Sandy Shores Airfield runway. It sits in the middle of the zone, so you will not wander out, animals do not spawn there, and one lap is about 1.5 km. A little over five laps finishes it.
- Hands-free: on a controller, hold the stick. On a keyboard, in third person, hold W plus A or D, and Shift. You spin in place and finish in about 20 minutes.
- Holding Shift (sprint) needs Michael’s stamina at 100%.
- The catchme cheat can raise your run speed.
- Progress calls: past 6 km, Cris calls. At 8 km Cris calls again and tells you to bring the money to the Epsilon Program building.
- Distance readout: if distance units are set to metric, the distance seems to jump unevenly. In Settings → Display, switch the units to imperial and it updates in 0.1-mile steps.
- Watch out
- Leaving the pilgrimage zone sometimes bugs and resets the distance you already walked. Stay inside and finish in one go.
- Aggressive animals spawn in the zone. Die to one and resume without the robe, and you start over.
- Animals show as red circles and only spawn in fixed spots. An AP Pistol or an SMG is enough. Michael’s special helps with the fast ones.
- Rarely a police cruiser is nearby, and then the animal and the police hit you together.
- The Epsilon-paint Bravado Bison that Jimmy Boston’s group leaves in is locked at first. You cannot open the door.
- Follow the group, keep a distance where the Bison does not despawn, then close in again. Repeat that until the occupant turns into a regular civilian, and then the Bison can be taken.
- Cannot be replayed.
- Unlocks after you finish
- When the mission ends, Hayden posts on Michael’s Lifeinvader.
- Fail if
- You shoot the Bravado Bison Jimmy Boston’s group is in.
8. Unknowing the Truth · Video 34:03
- Overview
- Client: the Epsilon Program
- For: Michael De Santa
- Unlock: go to the Epsilon Program building in the Epsilon robe, with $50,000 on you.
- This is the last Epsilon Program mission.
- How it plays
- After the cutscene, $50,000 is taken automatically. You have to drive the car with the money to the helicopter.
- Choice: follow the lead car and park honestly at the drop-off, or steal the money car and run.
- Deliver it: you are paid with one tractor, and you have spent $90,500 on Epsilon in total.
- The tractor looks slightly different from a normal tractor.
- It spawns once you park the Tailgater at the checkpoint, and it stays until you finish the mission.
- Steal the money: the easy way is to U-turn onto the opposite lanes the moment you leave the Epsilon gate and the radio tells you not to break formation.
- At first about one helicopter and four cars chase you. Keep running and they drop off one by one. When the last pursuer is gone, the mission succeeds.
- The last pursuer follows a long way and keeps shooting. Take the highway at top speed.
- With no RPG, you can lose the helicopter that will not quit by using the construction tunnel near the Suburbans.
- Get away with the stolen money and the pay is $2,100,000.
- Advanced Rifle: a bodyguard in the helicopter’s back seat has one. Kill him and you can take it for free before you finish the heist The Big Score.
- The helicopter lifts off as soon as you threaten it with a gun. Kill the pilot first, then the bodyguard.
- Epsilon paint: the Tailgater carrying the money (Epsilon blue, a unique plate that twists 'KIFFLOM'), the two escort Sentinel XS, the Landstalker, and the Maverick at the drop-off are all Epsilon blue. Replay the mission and pocket one or two at a time to store them all.
- Watch out
- The RPG unlocks after you finish the intro to Blitz Play.
- Losing the police while you are in the car can damage it. Get out and take cover, or lose them in another car, then get back in.
- Unlocks after you finish
- Cris calls right after the mission.
- Cris unlocks in Director Mode.
- Internet news updates.
- Marnie texts you (the text changes a little depending on whether you delivered the money). After that you can collect the tract scraps.
- Even if you steal the money, you can still open the Epsilon site and donate, but donations give you nothing else.
- Gold medal
- Cult Intervention: kill every Epsilon guard.
- The easy way is to follow them quietly to the drop-off, then start with the pilot of the landed helicopter and clear every guard. Michael’s special makes it comfortable.
- You can attack immediately, but then the Epsilon helicopter often circles directly overhead where you have no firing angle.
- To finish with no police wanted level, park by the stairs near the helicopter, take cover behind the trash can you can see right there, snipe the pilot and the passengers, kill every guard from cover, then snipe the one who climbed farther away.
- You can also attack right after you deliver the money, go downstairs, and see the tractor.
- Show Me the Money: steal Epsilon's money and get away.
